Rev. Ronald Grey

 

Ronald Grey is a pastor, counselor, Justice of the Peace, Marriage officer who serves the Boulevard Church of the Nazarene, located at 1a Auburn Avenue, Patrick City, Kingston 20. He has been serving there for the past twenty four years.

 

Rev Grey’s ministry at Boulevard can be described as the hallmark of his career, thus ,most of his achievements were accomplished here. Many lives have been transformed through the spoken word. He ,along with members of the Church Board have hosted Health Fairs that have become an annual event. This has seen hundreds of community members being served in numerous ways by the services provided. Members of the community received free eye care, dental, diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, pap smear and general checks done .

 

The Church School – Auburn Basic was expanded to facilitate over two hundred students. The expanded building now boasts two Pastors offices and a Church Hall. The Church also provides accommodations for work and witness teams visiting the Jamaica East District.

 

In 1987 he became the District Superintendent for the Jamaica East District and he currently serves in this capacity where he supervises eleven (11) Churches along with his responsibility to his local Church.

He has accepted the challenge to grow his church this year by 10% and also to start a new work.

 

The Church was actively involved in the distribution of food to the less fortunate once per month. An initiative carried out by the Women’s Ministry endorsed by Rev Ronald Grey. This ministry has been put on hold as there is a restructuring of the programme by the local Government ministry.

 

Rev Grey has also pioneered a church in the North Eastern end of the island St. Mary, the Ranch Church and Camp Site. This for him will be a dream that has been

realized. The Church of the Nazarene will now own their first Camp site in Jamaica.

 

Ronald Is married to Cossett and the marriage has produced two beautiful children Ronero and Chantay who are now grown. Both children are students in University in Jamaica. They both serve in various positions both in their local Church.
